Fredy is Colombian. His grandmother was black, and his ancestors were one of the first ones to populate Bello, Antioquia, the neighborhood where he was born and raised. He was told that his ancestors are from the Catío culture, a tribe that was well known for the ferocious resistance against the Spanish colonizers. Currently, Fredy is a painter and a hermit, and he lives with his cat in the mountains.
